Directing 101 Workshop
Joe Sheik is thrilled to be leading this Director’s workshop at Theatre Wellesley. Having started with the Sun Parlour Players, Joe has been involved in theatre for over 40 years in a variety of settings working in every aspect of production. A veteran of the local stage, Joe recently directed Habit of Murder and Gloria’s Guy and has done lighting design for performances the past three seasons all at Theatre Tillsonburg. He just completed sound design for the recent Christmas show and is currently Co-Producing Hilda’s Yard. Joe holds an honours specialist in Drama, taught the Theatre Production course at the Faculty of Education Western University and recently was workshop leader at WODL Minifest 2025. He has taught acting and directing workshops for over 30 years, focusing on building confidence and collaborative skills in performers of all ages. Joe’s interactive approach is centered on fostering a safe, supportive environment where community members can explore their creative potential.

The workshop is also looking for ACTORS who will be directed by the workshop attendees. To be an actor for the workshop, you will need to be available March 14, 2026 from 1:30PM-3:00PM, no cost.
